Wearing a turban is a yogic technology commonly practiced by kundalini Yogi's. To put it simply, wearing a turban keeps your head together. It is a self crowning which is the birthright of all human beings.
Traditionally, turbans were worn by Sikh men. However, when Yogi Bhajan introduced the technology of kundalini yoga to the West, the women wanted to wear turbans as well! The Western women have since developed their own style of turban that compliments the female energetically and physically.
I believe that your turban should be a constant personal evolution. No two turbans are the same. It is important that you feel comfortable with the way your turban fits and confident with the way it looks.
I love the way Parminder Kaur has added a beautiful butterfly broach, bands and ribbon to her turban. The sky is the limit, so get creative. For more tips check out my turban tying videos!
